In its continuous effort to combat Covid-19, the University of Cebu Medical Center (UCMed) has lowered the cost of and made its reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) Swab Testing more affordable for all.
The RT-PCR test is priced at only P5,000 for both walk-ins and drive-through services effective Sept. 25, 2020, making it one of the lowest prices in the province.
The RT-PCR test remains to be the gold standard in detecting Covid-19. UCMed is the very first private hospital in Mandaue City and the second in Cebu province to be accredited by the Department of Health (DOH) on July 17, 2020, as a PCR Testing Laboratory for Covid-19.
Swab testing is the general requirement for most travel and back-to-work certifications. Travelers and employees can expect reliable and timely RT-PCR results from UCMed within 24 to 48 hours from the date of the test.
