JOINT police operatives arrested a 34-year-old phone technician during a buy-bust in Maasin City Saturday afternoon, September 26, 2020.
The suspect was identified as Jay Flores, a resident of the city.
An undercover agent was able to buy five pieces of heat-sealed plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu worth P4,000.
Seized from the suspect were four pieces of P1,000 bill consisting of one genuine with serial number AA694892 and three pieces boodle money used as buy-bust money, police said in the report.
The operation was led by the Southern Leyte Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit headed by Lieutenant Maja Beringuel, together with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Maasin City Police Station.
The suspect was turned over to Maasin City Police Station while awaiting formal charges. (SunStar Philippines)
