THE Department Agriculture (DA) in Zamboanga Peninsula has launched the “Search for the Best Innovative Food Technology” and is inviting interested youths to be an innovative chef-preneur.
DA-Zamboanga Peninsula Executive Director Rad Donn Cedeno said the program aims to encourage the youth to develop and pursue innovative business ideas into viable business ventures in Agriculture and Fisheries.
Cedeno said innovativeness in food processing technology will create entrepreneurial opportunities for the youth to engage in profitable food production activities in light of the emerging new normal.
The search is sponsored by the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division of the Department of Agriculture regional office. It is in partnership with the Western Mindanao Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development Consortium.
