High-value suspect nabbed in Ormoc drug sting

POLICE arrested an alleged high-value drug personality during a drug bust in Ormoc City.

The suspect was identified as Junry Seledio, 39, who has been tagged as number 12 in the top 20 list of drug personalities in the city.

Ormoc City Drug Enforcement Unit led by Major Alex Echon, together with the Ormoc City Police Station 1 and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), arrested Seledio on September 25 in Purok 1, Barangay Can-untog.

Purchased from the suspect was one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of shabu.

Confiscated from his possession and control were three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of shabu, one P1,000 bill that was used as bust money, and P70 cash.

The search and inventory was witnessed by barangay and media representatives, police said.

The suspect will face charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (SunStar Philippines)
