Binas said he received the order Monday and he will be reassigned to the Philippine National Police (PNP) Drug Enforcement Group (DEG) in Camp Crame.
The order, dated September 28 and signed by Brigadier General Rolando Hinanay, acting director for personnel and records management, stated that Binas will be reassigned to PNP-DEG while Colonel Manuel Placido from Civil Security Group at the National Headquarters of the PNP was also reassigned to Police Regional Office-Western Visayas.
Based on General Orders Number PRO6-GO-2020-6377, Placido will take over the post of Binas, who will transfer to a higher position at the PNP-DEG in Camp Crame as chief of Directorial Staff.
Both Binas and Placido are members of Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Class 1995.
Binas has served BCPO since January 12, 2019 and had led the unit to several accomplishments both operational and administrative.
Binas said he welcomes his new assignment and it is an opportunity for him to be exposed to another job.
"It is also a proper time for me to graduate as city director because I've been a provincial director in 2017 then, a city director in Iloilo and Bacolod cities. Maybe, the national leadership or even in the region, saw it that it's a high time for me to be assigned to other unit," he said.
He added the work of the city director is very challenging job, but he is thankful for the support and cooperation of the Bacolodnons to maintain the peace and order in the city.
Binas said that in all of his assignment, he considered Bacolod City as the most peaceful area.
