72-year-old woman dies from Covid-19

A 72-YEAR-OLD woman residing in Magalang town died recently due to coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

In its official Facebook page, the local government announced that Patient M48 is the third Covid-19 fatality in the town.

"The local government unit of Magalang joins the family in mourning the loss of our fellow Magaleno," the Municipal Government stated.

"Let us pray for the eternal repose of her soul as we pray for all the members of the medical community who are in the frontlines as well as all those afflicted with Covid-19 and their families," it added.

The Municipal Government also announced three new cases: Patient M56 from Barangay San Jose, Patient M57 from Barangay Santo Rosario, and Patient M58 from Barangay San Isidro.

The three patients are working in the same company outside the municipality.

They are all asymptomatic and were taken to a government facility.

The local government said the patients' family contacts are under monitoring by the Municipal Health Office.

It also appealed to the residents to follow minimum health standards set by the Department of Health to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the town.
