15 more persons test negative for coronavirus in Oro

FIFTEEN additional Covid-19 patients were added to the growing number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro after their repeat swab test result yielded negative on Tuesday, September 29.

This brought the total number of Covid-19 recoveries in the city to 438.

Of the 15 recoveries, seven are local transmission, three are local Authorized Persons Outside Residence (Apor), four are locally stranded individuals (LSIs), and one returning overseas Filipino worker (ROF).

Those who have recovered are:

* A 22-year-old male local Apor residing in Barangay Puntod;

* A 39-year-old male LSI from Caloocan and a resident of Barangay Iponan;

* A 32-year-old male local Apor residing in Barangay Cugman;

* A 70-year-old male resident of Barangay Kauswagan;

* A 17-year-old male resident of Barangay Gusa;

* A 28-year-old male resident of Barangay Gusa;

* A 32-year-old male resident of Barangay 17;

* A 38-year-old female resident of Barangay Iponan;

* A 67-year-old female resident of Barangay Carmen;

* A 30-year-old female resident of Barangay Bulua;

* A 21-year-old female LSI from Quezon City and a resident of Barangay Balulang;

* A 28-year-old male local Apor residing in Barangay Kauswagan;

* A 28-year-old male LSI from Cavite and a resident of Barangay Carmen;

* A 43-year-old male LSI from Pampanga and a resident of Barangay Carmen;

* A 25-year-old male ROF from Singapore and a resident of Barangay Indahag.

Meanwhile, the following areas in Cagayan de Oro were placed under localized focused containment, as of September 30:

* A portion of San Roque, Barangay Lapasan;

* A portion of Lapas uno, Barangay Lapasan;

* A portion of Bontong, Barangay Camaman-an;

* A portion of Zone 1 and 4, Barangay 17;

* A portion of San Juan 2, Barangay Lapasan;

* A portion of Zone 2 Talidhay, Barangay Cugman;

* A portion of Piaping Puti, Barangay Macabalan;

* A portion of Zone 3, San Lazaro, Barangay Lapasan;

* A portion of San Juan 1, Barangay Lapasan;

* A portion of Zone 5, Barangay 15;

* A portion of Zone 5, Barangay Kauswagan;

* A portion of Zone 2, Barangay Kauswagan;

* A portion of Zone 4, Barangay Nazareth;

* A portion of Zone 6, Barangay Cugman; and

* A portion of Zone 2, Barangay Cugman.

According to Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery, of the 438 recoveries recorded in Cagayan de Oro, 214 are LSIs, 86 are ROFs, and 138 are local cases (community: 92; Apor: 46).

As of September 29, Cagayan de Oro registered a total of 782 confirmed Covid-19 cases.

Of the number, 331 are ROFs/LSIs and 451 are local cases.

The city has 310 active cases, 28 of whom are admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center, 252 are outpatients and 30 are ROFs/LSIs.

The number of Covid-19 deaths is now at 34.
