Mabalacat City records 268 Covid-19 cases

THE Mabalacat City Government has recorded a total of 268 Covid-19 cases as of Monday, September 28, 2020.

The City Health Office reported 22 new cases, bringing the total active coronavirus cases in the city to 165 as of Tuesday.

The CHO said 17 of the 22 new cases work in a call center in Clark Freeport.

Four of the new patients have unknown histories of exposure while the remaining one works at a fast-food chain.

Six of the new cases are from Barangay Dau, five in Mabiga, three in Lakandula, two in Dapdap, one in Camachiles, one in Macapagal Village, one in Poblacion, one in Santa Ines, one in Santo Rosario, and one in Sapang Biabas.

The local government has scheduled the swab testing of the patients' close contacts.

Mayor Cris Garbo said 102 of the 268 patients had recovered and one died.

The mayor urged the Mabalacat constituents to observed social distancing and wear face masks and shields to prevent the spread of the virus.
