TV personality and cookbook author Chrissy Teigen, and singer-songwriter John Legend, mourn over the loss of their third child due to pregnancy complications.
Earlier Thursday, October 1, 2020, Teigen shared the unfortunate news on Twitter and Instagram.
"We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we've never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn't enough."
On Sunday, September 27, 2020, Teigen was brought to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She had been on bed rest for less than a month and had been bleeding.
Legend and Teigen have two children, Luna, 4 years old, and Miles, 2. While the couple revealed that they always waited for the last moment to name their children after they're born, Teigen shared "for some reason, we had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack."
"To our Jack - I'm so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn't give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you."
The couple first revealed the surprise pregnancy back in August in Legend's "Wild" music video.
