Cagayan de Oro registers 37 new Covid-19 recoveries

THE total number of people who have recovered from coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Cagayan de Oro has reached 488 after the repeat swab tests of 37 patients yielded negative results on Thursday, October 1.

Of the 37 new recoveries, two are returning overseas Filipino workers (ROFs), seven are locally stranded individuals (LSIs), and 28 are local cases.

Those who have recovered are:

* A 72-year-old female resident of Barangay Nazareth;

* A six-year-old male LSI from Cavite and a resident of Barangay Lapasan;

* A 24-year-old male LSI from Pasig and a resident of Barangay Lumbia;

* A 10-month-old female LSI from Cavite and a resident of Barangay Lapasan;

* A 62-year-old male LSI from Mandaluyong and a resident of Barangay Camaman-an;

* An 18-year-old male LSI from Bohol and a resident of Barangay Balulang;

* A 42-year-old male LSI from Caloocan and a resident of Barangay Carmen;

* A 62-year-old female local Authorized Person Outside Residence (Apor) residing in Barangay 24;

* A 34-year-old male resident of Barangay Tablon;

* A 46-year-old female local Apor residing in Barangay 26;

* A 50-year-old female local Apor, a healthcare worker, residing in Barangay Macabalan;

* A 49-year-old female resident of Barangay Nazareth;

* A 45-year-old female resident of Barangay Nazareth;

* A 29-year-old female resident of Barangay Nazareth;

* A 25-year-old female resident of Barangay Nazareth;

* A seven-year-old male resident of Barangay Nazareth;

* A two-year-old male resident of Barangay Nazareth;

* A 50-year-old female resident of Barangay Carmen;

* A 52-year-old male resident of Barangay Carmen;

* A 28-year-old male resident of Barangay Balulang;

* A 69-year-old female resident of Barangay Patag;

* A 44-year-old male ROF from Hong Kong and a resident of Barangay 11;

* A 31-year-old male ROF from the Middle East and a resident of Barangay Cugman;

* A 40-year-old female resident of Barangay Puntod;

* A 10-year-old male resident of Barangay Puntod;

* A 63-year-old female resident of Barangay Bulua;

* A 29-year-old female resident of Barangay Bulua;

* A 10-year-old female resident of Barangay Nazareth;

* A 25-year-old male resident of Barangay Iponan;

* A 24-year-old male resident of Barangay Iponan;

* A 71-year-old male resident of Barangay Kauswagan;

* A 21-year-old female resident of Barangay Nazareth;

* A 36-year-old male resident of Barangay Nazareth;

* A 26-year-old male resident of Barangay Lapasan;

* A 12-year-old female LSI from ParaƱaque and a resident of Barangay Pagatpat;

* A 52-year-old male resident of Barangay Iponan; and

* A 31-year-old male resident of Barangay Macabalan.

According to Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery, of the 488 recoveries recorded in Cagayan de Oro, 224 are LSIs, 88 are ROFs, and 176 are local cases (community: 125; Apor: 51).

As of October 1, Cagayan de Oro registered a total of 831 confirmed Covid-19 cases.

Of the number, 337 are ROFs/LSIs, and 494 are local cases.

The city has 305 active cases, 28 of whom are admitted at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center, 253 are outpatients, 24 are ROFs/LSIs.

The number of Covid-19 deaths is now at 38.
