A TOTAL of 290,647 families in Central Luzon benefited from Rektang Bayanihan launched by the Police Regional Office (PRO) in Central Luzon.
To keep the bayanihan spirit burning, Central Luzon cops continue its relentless service to communities to alleviate poverty through its Rektang Bayanihan program, said Brigadier General Rhodel Sermonia, PRO-Central Luzon director.
The program was launched three days after the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine on March 17, Sermonia said.
He said with PRO-Central Luzon's Food Bank, Rektang Bayanihan is sustained through donations of different government agencies and stakeholders all over the region.
Sermonia appealed to all kind-hearted and wealthy kababayans to help provide for the less fortunate or most vulnerable sectors in every barangay through the "Rektang Bayanihan."
"Our Rektang Bayanihan is also in line with the program thrusts of our Philippine National Police Chief General Camilo Cascolan to rekindle the bayanihan spirit," the PRO-Central Luzon director said.
