Imagine a slice of pie that has a crunchy crust and golden brown custard filling that's sweet and creamy... Hmmm, it's too good to resist, yes?
This egg pie came from the humble kitchen of Romalyane Kibanoff, a native of Arayat town.
"My family loves to eat!" Kibanoff shared.
Since the lockdown happened in their area, she and her family were not able to go out to buy their favorite snacks like pandesal. That’s when she decided to make their own snacks.
Kibanoff had a basic knowledge on baking from one of her Tesda courses. With that, she tried baking pandesal, pizza dough, banana loaf and egg pie.
Her first ever product was cheese pandesal.
"After trying out the finished product, I was quite satisfied with it, and I gave it to some of my friends as a Mother’s Day present. My friends loved it and encouraged me to try selling it," Kibanoff shared.
Finally, she came out with three products to offer: Creamy Eggpie, Moist Banana Loaf and Tasty Macaroons.
"My products are a result of numerous trial and error as I want to perfect each recipe. All the ingredients I use are of high quality and in generous amounts," Kibanoff assured.
"My customers will not only have a satisfied tummy but a happy pocket as I always strive to give them the best value for their money," she added.
As of the moment, Kibanoff is exploring and perfecting other products that she will soon add to her baked goodies.
