Apex Mining expresses support to Radio Z-eskwela

APEX Mining Co. Inc. (AMCI) has entered into an agreement with the Department of Education-Davao de Oro Division (DepEd-DdO) and ZRadio 88.5 FM, signifying its support to all the programs of the Radio Z-eskwela of DepEd-DdO.

Radio Z-eskwela is a radio-based instruction that is aimed to provide sustainable access to education to all learners in the province of Davao de Oro. It is also simultaneously livestreamed on ZRadio's Official Facebook Page and ZRadio Mobile Application.

The primary objectives of the program is to supplement the formal K to 12 curriculum of the Basic Education Program with inputs presented in a dynamic, interactive and interesting approach; educate all learners even if they are not in the school; and enable the teachers to discharge their duties by their active participation in facilitating the instructional delivery.

The program is aired for four hours from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for Basic Education Program while on Saturday to Sunday for the Alternative Learning System (ALS).

The content of the program is prepared by DepEd-DdO Division and covers lessons, topics and competencies consistent with the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum.

With this, AMCI expressed its support to Radio Z-eskwela by providing financial assistance for one whole year.

The memorandum of agreement was signed on September 1, 2020 at ZRadio Station in Sta. Maria, Nabunturan.

ZRadio, owned by former vice governor now First District Representative Manuel "Way Kurat" Zamora's family and managed by his son, Manuel Jr., is the official radio station partner for Radio Z-eskwela.

Radio Z-eskwela program may be aired by other government radio stations provided that permission and collaboration is granted by ZRadio.

The Radyo Z-eskwela was launched through the initiative of Davao de Oro Vice Governor Maricar Zamora with the support of Governor Jayvee Tyron Uy and other stakeholders.
