"GOLF Day" may well be a part of the routine for some players and coaches of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) who are also avid golfers, as the Filinvest Mimosa Plus Leisure City golf course will be exclusive for PBA bubble delegates every Monday throughout the league's 45th season restart in Clark, Pampanga.

Several players and coaches have recently shared via Instagram stories how their week started by swinging golf clubs including players James Yap of Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, Kiefer Ravena of NLEX Road Warriors, Sean Anthony of Northport Batang Pier, Blackwater Elite players Diego Dario and Matthew Salem and Head Coach Nash Racela, and San Miguel Beermen Assistant Coach Jorge Gallent.

"Nice to get out into the sun for a round of golf," captions Anthony in a photo of himself along with teammates Christian Standhardinger and Kelly Nabong at the golf course posted in his Instagram story.

"Welcome to Mimosa, amazing!" Gallent said in one of Yap's Instagram stories.

The players were required to scan the facility's QR code using the StaySafe.ph contact tracing application before they were able to enter the golf course.

The 130-hectare golf course inside the Filinvest Mimosa Plus Leisure City, one of Clark's stunning leisure venues, is set against a lush and green landscape, and delegates can have a nice golfing experience at the Acacia Course. The golf course is nearby Quest Hotel where the PBA teams are staying.

Aside from golf, other sports and recreational amenities that the teams can make use of while inside the bubble include Quest Hotel's gym -- the biggest in Clark, a resort-like swimming pool, and a gaming room.

The StaySafe application will be used by the players in all the facilities to track the movement of the delegates which is very important especially now that the teams have started their trainings in preparation for the games starting next week.

Teams will also undergo Covid-19 testing every two weeks to ensure their health and safety inside the bubble. (PR)
