THE Rotary Club of Bacolod-East donated a hands-free washing facility to Education and Training Center School (ETCS) III through School Principal Maria Fe Toledo on October 8, 2020.

Trinidad Natan, Master Teacher 1 of ETCS III, represented Principal Toledo during the turnover led by RCBE President Belinda Siason and club officers Sonya M.Verdeflor, Elsie E.Jolingan and this writer.

President Siason said the project was made possible through the help of the club and also from benefactor Haris Nanduani, who also saw the need to extend such a project for the use of the teachers and the students.

The Covid-19 pandemic needs frequent hand washing as part of the preventive measures.

This project is in line with Rotary's area of focus, particularly on water and sanitation.

Siason hopes that the beneficiary will make use of the said facility for the common good.

On the other hand, teacher Natan thanked the RCBE officials and Mr. Nanduani for extending such a facility to their school.

She hoped that the club and its officers and members as well as their benefactors will be blessed more so that they can serve as blessings to others.

She said that with the online classes, school teachers still report to school to facilitate the transmission of modules to students.

There are many challenges with the holding of the online class. But then all stakeholders are coping with the challenges particularly on the part of the students and parents as well as the teachers.

With our presence in the school, we can still use the hands-free washing facility donated by the Rotary Club of Bacolod-East.

"Our school principal is grateful for this donation to the school as this is very timely for the use of the teachers and the students soon," Natan said.
