Areas in Barangays Bonbon, Cugman placed under localized containment

THREE separate areas in Cagayan de Oro were placed under localized focused containment after some of its residents tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Placed under focused containment are portions of Zone 1 and Zone 4 in Barangay Bonbon and a portion of Sitio Kalye Pogi in Zone 2, Barangay Cugman.

Around 22 families in Zone 1 and Zone 4, and 25 families in Sitio Kalye Pogi are affected by the containment. Nic Jabagat, chief of the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Department (CDRRMD), said all of them have received food relief early Thursday morning, October 8.

Jabagat added they will continue to provide food aid to affected families for the duration of the containment period.

According to the CDRRMD chief, the containment area in Zone 1, Barangay Bonbon is located near a fish landing site beside a newly built bridge. It is housed by 13 families.

Zone 4, on the other hand, is near the local high school and is populated by nine families.

Jabagat said the cordoned site in Sitio Kalye Pogi in Zone 2, Barangay Cugman is located near the local slaughterhouse and is populated by 25 families.

Meanwhile, the focused containment in Zone 5, Barangay 15 and Zones 2 and 5 in Barangay Kauswagan were lifted on October 8.
