SEVEN newly-identified drug personalities were arrested while some P119,600 and a pistol seized in separate anti-drug operations in Zamboanga City, the police reported Sunday, October 11.
Police Captain Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspects as the following:
Abraham Alaminia Insani, 37; Aljimar Akil Jaujali, 34; Bensal Sanani Hassan, 26; Reed Roy Delfino West, 43; Amina Gaddung Dari, 60; Latip Hassan Dari, 57; Ferdinand Bentulan Alvarez, Jr., 31; and, Charlie Cutad Balanding, 22.
Duco said Insani was arrested in possession of some P3,000 worth of suspected shabu and P200 marked money in a buy-bust operation around 2:30 p.m., Saturday, at Sitio Malasugat in Sangali village, this city.
Duco said seized from Jaujali and Hassan were some P68,000 worth of suspects shabu weighing more or less 10 grams and P200 marked money when arrested in a buy-bust operation around 10 p.m. Saturday in Sta. Catalina village, this city.
Duco said West yielded some P28,000 worth of suspected shabu and P500 marked money when arrested around 5:55 p.m. Saturday at Sitio Villa Sta. Maria, Sta. Maria village, this city.
Recovered from the two Daris were some P4,700 worth of suspected shabu and P200 marked money when arrested in a buy-bust operation around 5:45 a.m. Saturday in Baliwasan village, this city, according to Duco.
He said Alvarez was found in possession of some P4,200 worth of suspected shabu, a caliber .45 pistol with five live ammunition, and P200 marked money when arrested in a buy-bust operation around 1:45 a.m. Saturday in Talon-Talon village, this city.
He said that Balanding was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 11:10 p.m. Saturday in Camino Nuevo village, this city.
He said recovered from Balanding were some P11,700 worth of suspected shabu and P200 marked money.
He said the suspects were detained while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them. (SunStar Zamboanga)
