ANGELES City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. has ordered the release of P10,000 each to the fire victims in Barangay San Nicolas.

Lazatin instructed the Local Finance Committee -- composed of City Budget Office, City Treasurer's Office and City Accounting Office -- to immediately process the financial assistance for the 30 families, as well as to the registered business owners affected by the fire.

"Maliit na halaga lamang po ito pero sana makatulong para makapagsimula ang mga kababayan natin," Lazatin said.

The funds for the assistance will be taken from the Office of the City Mayor's regular budget.

Lazatin also checked on the areas affected by fire on Saturday night, October 10, 2020.

Lazatin sent the medical team of the Angeles Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (ACDRRMO) led by Rudy Simeon to check on the victims.

On October 11, 2020, the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) headed by Edna Duaso, distributed food assistance, hygiene kits, banigs, and blankets to the residents, upon the order of Lazatin.

IC Calaguas, Lazatin's chief adviser and tactician director, also coordinated with Business Permit and Licensing Division (BPLD) Chief Evangeline Malonzo to assist the businesses in claiming benefits from their fire insurance provider.
