DCWD introduces new online payment scheme

DAVAO City Water District (DCWD) has recently launched a new online payment scheme with more partner banks and payment centers.

Since September 28, water consumers can pay their bills via Landbank Link.BizPortal.

DCWD Spokesperson Jovanna Duhaylungsod, in a virtual Bizforum held in coordination with SM City Davao and San Miguel Foods on Tuesday, October 13, said this new platform of Landbank of the Philippines is different from its previous partner, iAccess, which is also powered by the bank.

“What’s good about this new online payment platform is it provides several payment gateway options,” she said.

The payment options through Link.BizPortal are online banking accounts and cash agents.

For online banking accounts, consumers can pay using their LandBank gateway and mobile banking facility powered by PCHC PayGates: Unionbank of the Philippines, RCBC and Robinsons Bank.

“You don’t need to be a Landbank account holder or apply for the payment channel to use the platform. You just have to go to the Link.BizPortal website which can be accessed via Landbank and DCWD websites,” she said.

For cash agents, Link.BizPortal has partnered with ECPay and Bayad Express.

“But you cannot go directly to ECPay and Bayad Express partner stores and pay your bills directly. You need to go through Link.BizPortal website first to input necessary details and secure a reference number which you will be presenting to the cash agent partner stores,” Duhaylungsod added.

A minimal convenience fee ranging from P10 to P30 will be charged upon using this new payment channel.

DCWD advises the public that when they opt to use online payment, payments must be made at least three working days before the due date. The water service provider added that payment will be reflected on the consumer’s account within two working days after payment is made online.

Duhaylungsod said DCWD and Landbank are working closely to add more mobile banking partners to accommodate more consumers.

“Landbank is working on adding Visa Mastercard payment gateway option within the fourth quarter of 2020,” she said.

Consumers can access Link.BizPortal by logging on to www.davao-water.gov.ph/PayDCWDbillOnline or through Landbank's mobile banking app and website through the Link.Biz tab.
