Bacolod City police officials reshuffled

A MINOR reshuffling at the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) was implemented by its acting director, Police Colonel Manuel Placido, affecting five police officials effective October 7, 2020.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of BCPO, on Wednesday, October 15, 2020, said Captain Leo Estopa, who just finished the career-enhancement schooling, returned to his post as chief of Police Station 2.

He said Captain Jun Ray Batadlan, who also underwent schooling, assumed the post of Captain Armilyn Vargas, chief of Police Station 8.

He added that Vargas will undergo career-enhancement schooling, as well as Captain Bonilla, chief of Police Station 6.

The post of Bonilla was occupied by his deputy commander, Lieutenant Danilo Lauron.

Lieutenant Vincent Pendon, a Team-1 leader of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), was also tasked to head the CDEU.

Pico said it is only a minor reshuffling of BCPO officials and they expect more changes at BCPO.

He said the BCPO acting director already ordered all the station commanders to intensify their visibility patrol to prevent the possible operation of lawless elements within their areas of jurisdiction.
