GROUPS based in Central Luzon have asked for support from the public for the national government's shift to a revolutionary form of government (RevGov).

In a general assembly on October 15, the People’s National Coalition (PNC) for Revolutionary Government towards Federalism and the Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte National Executive Coordinating Committee (MRRD-NECC) made the appeal.

Present during the assembly were PNC Central Luzon Spokesperson and City Councilor Joseph “PG” Ponce with MRRD-NECC National Spokesperson Arlene Buan, MRRD-NECC and PNC-National Capital Region Chairman Bong Alonto, PNC and MRRD-NECC 1 Marikina chair Ed Francisco, and other MRRD-NECC officials.

"Under RevGov, magkakaroon ng extra power ang ating presidente para ma-expedite ang kanyang mga advocacies at ang kanyang pinangako sa sambayanang Pilipino na magkakaroon tayo ng tunay na pagbabago na kung saan ang ating form of government ay magiging federal system of government," Ponce said in an interview.

In a proposed resolution, PNC appealed to the Filipino people to join in declaring the country under RevGov and called for a charter change to a “presidential-federal and parliamentary system of government.”

Ponce said they are set to start a signature campaign that aims to gather three to five million signatures, which are needed for Duterte to heed their call, together with the proposed resolution that is set to be submitted by the first week of November.
