Quiapo church launches mobile app

WITH church attendance still on limited capacity, the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene in Manila has launched a mobile app that can help devotees continue with their devotion.

In an advisory, Quiapo Church officials urged the public to make use of the Quiapo Church Mobile App to continue praying to the black image of Jesus Christ.

"Let us use the Quiapo Church Mobile App for us to be able to continue our devotion to the Black Nazarene wherever we may be in this time of pandemic," said Quiapo Church in its Twitter account.

It related that the app is capable of gathering all prayer requests, thanksgiving, and petitions, which will be included in the Holy Mass intentions and prayers at the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene.

The app also contains daily short prayer for the Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno based from the book of Gospel Power.

The app will also help guide the faithful in praying the Holy Rosary, Stations of the Cross, Way of the Light, and the powerful novena to Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno.

"We will endeavor to add more features to this mobile app soon so that it can further help in enhancing ones faith and devotion," said Quiapo Church.

The Quiapo Church Mobile App is available for either Android or iOS devices. (HDT/SunStar Philippines)
