Tacloban 'drug den' raid yields over P129,000 worth of shabu

THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Eastern Visayas seized substance believed to be shabu around P129,769 in an alleged drug den in Tacloban City on Sunday, October 18, 2020.

The anti-narcotics operatives arrested the suspects Alvin Enderez, drug den maintainer; Reynaldo Sabalberino, visitor; Petronilo Badiang, visitor; and Cloyd Sia visitor. Another suspect identified as Mark Joseph Enderez remains at-large.

The suspects were nabbed during the anti-drug operation around 3:30 a.m. Sunday in Barangay 59 Picas, Sagkahan, Tacloban.

Purchased and confiscated during the operation were several pieces of transparent plastic sachets containing substance believed to be shabu weighing 19.0838 grams, the PDEA said.

Drug paraphernalia were also found during the operation.

The suspects will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (SunStar Philippines)
