‘Cash Agad’ provides hassle-free banking services

THE pandemic has greatly affected almost every industry in the country. Since the strict and wide community lockdown began, businesses started to significantly decline, and a lot of employees lost their jobs. Meanwhile, for those who are still earning while working at home, access to banks and ATMs to get their cash is a problem due to the strict lockdown.

Access to transportation and even the early closing of malls are just some of the challenges people encounter to get their cash. With this, BDO Unibank found a solution by providing the Cash Agad service.

Cash Agad provides solutions for the unbanked and financially underserved communities, especially in places where setting up a bank branch or even an ATM machine would prove to be impractical and unfeasible.

Cash Agad service is a community of shops-turned-ATM. Sari-sari stores, salons, drugstores, hardware stores etc. can be a Cash Agad partner. There are over 8,000 Cash Agad partners nationwide, and it is growing, especially in these trying times.

Cash Agad partners are given a POS (Point-of-Sale) terminal capable of accepting transactions using any Philippine-issued ATM card, whether debit or credit. And even though BDO Unibank is the one that runs the Cash Agad service, the POS terminal accepts ATM cards from all banks in the country.

With BDO’s Cash Agad service, ATM-holders no longer have to fall in line for the ATM or have a hard time finding public transportation to get to one. Cash Agad partners might be just around the neighborhood.

Employees and overseas Filipino workers can now access salaries and remittances via Cash Agad, too.
