Coronavirus-infected persons in Cagayan de Oro now at 1,278

TWENTY-FIVE residents tested positive for Sars-CoV-2, bringing the total number of confirmed coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Cagayan de Oro to 1,278.

Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said 13 of the 25 new local cases are close contacts of previously confirmed cases.

The 25 new Covid-19 cases in Cagayan de Oro City are:

* 1,254th case: a 33-year-old female local Authorized Person Outside Residence (Apor) residing in Barangay Camaman-an who was exposed to the 910th case. She is the sister of the 910th case. She works as a nursing attendant at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC).

The woman's last day of duty was on September 30. Her last day of exposure was on October 2. She was brought to the city isolation unit on October 11. She experienced throat discomfort on October 16. She is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The City Health Office identified five close contacts of the woman.

* 1,255th case: a 36-year-old male resident of Barangay Balulang who was exposed to his wife on 924th case. His last day of exposure was on September 29. He underwent home quarantine on September 30. He was brought to the city isolation unit on October 11. He is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The City Health Office identified eight close contacts of the man.

* 1,256th case: a 60-year-old female resident of Barangay Macabalan, who was exposed to the 1,057th case. She is the mother of the 1,057th case. Her last day of exposure was on October 13. She was brought to the city isolation unit on October 16. She is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The City Health Office identified seven close contacts of the woman.

* 1,257th case: a 37-year-old male resident of Barangay Macabalan who was exposed to the 1,057th case. He is the brother of the 1,057th case. His last day of exposure was on October 13. He was brought to the city isolation unit on October 16. He is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

* 1,258th case: a 46-year-old female resident of Barangay Camaman-an who was exposed to the 1,114th and the 1,115th cases. She is the mother of the 1,114th case and the wife of the 1,115th case. Her last day of exposure was on October 11. She was brought to the city isolation unit on October 15. She is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

* 1,259th case: a 10-year-old male resident of Barangay Camaman-an who was exposed to the 1,114th and 1,115th cases. He is the brother of the 1,114th case and the son of the 1,115th case. His last day of exposure was on October 11 and was brought to the city isolation unit on October 15. He is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

* 1,260th case: a three-year-old female resident of Barangay Camaman-an who was exposed to the 1,114th and 1,115th cases. She is the sister of the 1,114th case and the daughter of the 1,115th case. Her last day of exposure was on October 11 and she was brought to the city isolation unit on October 15. She is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

* 1,261st case: a two-year-old male resident of Barangay Bulua who was exposed to the 1,009th and 1,010th cases. He is the son of the 1,009 and 1,010th cases. His last day of exposure was on October 10. He is currently at the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

* 1,262nd case: a 74-year-old female resident of Barangay Carmen who was exposed to the 1,064th case. She is the mother of the 1,064th case. Her last day of exposure was on October 8. She had diarrhea on October 15. She was brought to the city isolation unit on October 16. She is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

* 1,263rd case: a 36-year-old male local Apor, a healthcare worker, residing in Barangay Lumbia. He works as a nurse at the NMMC. His last day of duty was on October 9. He underwent home quarantine on October 10. He is currently at the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The City Health Office identified one household contact and five workplace contacts of the man.

* 1,264th case: a 29-year-old male resident of Barangay Macasandig, who was exposed to his co-workers, the 1,087th and 1,196th cases. His last day of exposure was on October 10. He was admitted in a private hospital on October 15 due to high blood. He had a sore throat, cough and nasal congestion on October 16. He is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The City Health Office identified nine close contacts of the man.

* 1,265th case: a 22-year-old female resident of Barangay Puntod who was exposed to his co-workers, the 1,087th and 1,196th cases. He experienced loss of sense of smell and taste on October 10. His last day of exposure and duty was on October 11. He was admitted in a private hospital on October 16.

The City Health Office identified three direct contacts of the woman.

* 1,266th case: a 22-year-old female resident of Barangay Kauswagan who works as a customer service representative. She had a fever, cough and nasal congestion on October 8. She had an asthma attack on October 16. She was admitted in a private hospital on October 17. She is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

* 1,267th case: a 39-year-old female resident of Barangay Puntod. She experienced flu-like symptoms and shortness of breath on October 5. She experienced loss of sense of smell on October 13 and his last day of duty was on the same day. She was admitted in a private hospital on October 17. She is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The City Health Office identified five direct contacts of the woman.

* 1,268th case: a 48-year-old female resident of Barangay Iponan who works as a bank employee. She had a cough on October 10 and underwent home quarantine on October 12. She had a fever and shortness of breath on October 16. She was admitted in a private hospital on October 17. She is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The City Health Office identified three household contacts of the woman.

* 1,269th case: a 56-year-old male resident of Barangay Carmen. He had a fever, cough and difficulty in breathing on October 16. He was admitted in a private hospital on October 17. He is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

* 1,270th case: a 60-year-old male resident of Barangay Agusan. He had a fever on October 11. He got better and went back to work on October 15. He had a fever on October 16 and was admitted in a private hospital on October 17. He is set to be transferred at the NMMC.

* 1,272nd case: a 43-year-old female resident of Barangay Balubal. She had a cough, fever and loss of sense of taste on October 9. Her last day of duty was on October 12. The City Health Office identified six close contacts of the woman.

* 1,273rd case: a 43-year-old male resident of Barangay Balulang. He visited a videoke house on October 8. He underwent a rapid diagnostic test on October 10 and the result came out negative. She had colds on October 13 and fever on October 15. He is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The City Health Office identified seven direct contacts of the man.

* 1,274th case: a 62-year-old female local Apor resident of Barangay Lumbia who was exposed to her co-worker, the 1,166th case. She works as a service crew at the NMMC. Her last day of exposure and duty was on October 9. She is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The City Health Office identified eight household contacts of the woman.

* 1,275th case: a 54-year-old female resident of Barangay Tablon. She had a cough and difficulty in breathing on October 14. She went to a private hospital for consultation and was referred to the NMMC. She is currently at the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

* 1,276th case: a 30-year-old female resident of Barangay 13 who was exposed to three non-Cagayan de Oro coronavirus-positive cases. Her last day of exposure was on October 15. She is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The City Health Office identified two household contacts of the woman.

* 1,277th case: a 48-year-old male resident of Barangay Macasandig. He had a fever on October 8. He sought medical consultation in a private hospital and was admitted.

The City Health Office identified two close contacts of the man.

* 1,278th case: a 78-year-old female resident of Barangay Camaman-an. She had body malaise on October 16 and was admitted in a private hospital. She was transferred to the NMMC on October 18.

The City Health Office identified one close contact of the woman.

Cagayan de Oro has 374 active cases, 30 of whom are admitted at the NMMC, 337 are outpatients, and seven are ROFs/LSIs.
