A FORMER soldier was killed and a woman was injured in a shooting incident Monday afternoon, October 19, 2020, in MacArthur town in Leyte.
Police identified the fatality as Antony Lou Bogal, a resident of Javier town and a Philippine Army personnel who had been on absence without leave (Awol).
Pelina Garcia, 56, who was riding a bicycle during the incident, was injured.
Initial investigation showed that Bogal was driving his tricycle in Barangay Palale when gunmen on board a pick-up vehicle shot him several times.
Bogal died on the spot while Garcia was brought to a hospital.
