Quality customer service urged in businesses

BAGUIO City Councilor Vladimir Cayabas is urging business establishments’ to practice good customer service at all times and be more responsive to the immediate concerns of clients.

“Local business managers and enterprise leaders are expected to exemplify the needed business ethics and qualities to diligently cascade it to all their personnel from supervisors to the frontline and rank and file workers. Doing so will surely sustain, grow and leverage to the next level their business even during these challenging times while greatly help the city of Baguio into its path to economic regain and recovery,” Cayabas said.

The resolution was passed during this week’s regular session and approved by the entire council.

Cayabas added Baguio City is not only known as the north’s citadel of education and perennial tourist destination but also a popular hub for robust business activities.

The resolution states the progressive economy requires resilient business efforts sustained by innovative measures and up to date enterprise strategies. Integral part of business growth is good customer service. Its proactive system that should be embedded in the daily standards of every business center in the City of Baguio, regardless of the size and enterprise classification.

Cayabas said business activities have been temporarily hampered and experienced sharp decline due to the current health pandemic and stringent implementation of community quarantine but gradually back on track and progressively going back to the new usual as part of the local government’s economic recovery plan and initiatives.
