THE Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) launched on October 20 its Mobile Business One-Stop Shop (MBOSS) program at SM City Bacolod. The one-stop center aims to deliver business-related frontline services to establishments in Bacolod City. MBOSS also launched simultaneously in key cities nationwide. By bringing the services of the BFP to convenient and spacious locations, such as SM malls, clients are assured that safety and health protocols are observed while they go about their transactions.

Experience hassle-free processing right at the mall! Among the services available at BFP’s MBOSS are processing and renewal of Fire Safety Inspection Certificate (FSIC), payment of fire code fees and other related transactions covered under Republic Act 9514 or the Fire Code of the Philippines.

“Due to Covid-19 situation, many entrepreneurs were not able to process these very important permits, which they must have before they can operate their business,” said Chief Inspector Publio Ploteña, city fire marshall.

“The MBOSS is the BFP’s response to make it convenient and easier for establishments by bringing our frontline services closer to them” he added.

Through these mobile desks, the BFP supports the business sector by enabling entrepreneurs and investors to pursue their business plans despite the challenges brought about by quarantines. This kind of government support is encouraging to small and medium enterprises where more economic activities lead to creation of more jobs, investment and revival of the economy.

The BFP MBOSS is set up on the second floor, North Wing at SM City Bacolod until October 27, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Meanwhile, SM City Bacolod reminds its customers to continue observing social distancing and personal disinfecting, and to wear their face masks and shields at all time. At the mall’s entrances, customers undergo the usual temperature scanning, disinfecting and now, the quick response (QR) code scanning for the Bacolod contact tracing project. The mall has also made it easier for customers to fill out the mandatory health forms at every store visited through Trace Together, a digital contact tracing initiative oaf SM Supermalls. (PR)
