Kabankalan tops active Covid-19 cases in Negros Occidental

WITH 157, Kabankalan City now has the highest number of active coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Negros Occidental.

Based on the October 21 data released by the Provincial Health Office (PHO) Wednesday, October 21, it is followed by Silay City with 141 and San Carlos City with 87.

The Capitol report further showed that the towns of Hinoba-an and San Enrique are now Covid-free.

All 39 and 54 confirmed cases of the two localities have already recovered, it added.

The Municipality of Toboso, which was earlier reported to be Covid-free, now has three active cases based on the PHO data.

In terms of the total number of Covid-19 cases, Talisay City remained number one with 582.

It is followed by Silay City and Kabankalan City with 524 and 295, respectively.

As of the October 21 bulletin of the Department of Health-Western Visayas, Negros Occidental logged 30 new cases and 29 recoveries.

The province now has a total of 3,986 Covid-19 cases. Of which, 1,238 are active cases, 2,679 have recovered and 69 died.
