19 Macabebe villages flooded

NINETEEN out of the 26 barangays in Macabebe town, Pampanga were flooded due to rains brought by tropical storm "Pepito" and high tide level.

Based on the report of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, barangays experiencing flooding include San Francisco, Tacasan, Sta. Rita, Saplad David, Dalayap, San Rafael, Sto. Rosario, San Jose and San Isidro.

Also flooded by up to three feet are Barangays San Jose, San Isidro, San Gabriel, San Juan, Consuelo, Sto. Niño, Castuli, Candelaria, Telacsan, San Vicente, Caduang Tete and Sta. Cruz.

No families nor individuals were reported to be moved to evacuation centers as of the weekend.

The local government said continuous monitoring is being conducted to ensure the safety of residents from flash floods and water surges from the Pampanga River.
