VisMin's first e-commerce enabler launched

THE first e-commerce enabler company in the Visayas and Mindanao was launched in Bacolod City recently.

Bacolod City-based Vijaya Merchants Solutions Inc., a corporation registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission, is the first e-commerce enabler company that will serve Visayas and Mindanao business enterprises.

An e-commerce enabler assists businesses in promoting and selling their products and brands in online marketplaces like Lazada and Shopee by providing end-to-end e-commerce services including building their online stores and managing it.

Elena Pineda Gatanela, director and chief administrative officer of Vijaya who is from Bacolod, said that small and medium scale enterprises and businesses in Visayas and Mindanao, like in Bacolod and Negros Occidental, have no direct contacts with e-commerce platforms in Metro Manila that constitutes 60 percent of the online market.

Gatanela, who is also a certified digital marketer, said with the existence of Vijaya, small and medium enterprises need not go to Metro Manila as they can provide a direct link to the country’s top e-commerce platforms.

She added that Vijaya aims to be a catalyst for digital transformation in the Visayas and Mindanao by providing e-commerce enabler services to VisMin brands.

At present, Vijaya has already business clients whom they are in the process of putting up and managing their online stores in Shopee and Lazada.

Among these businesses are Aldrtz Corp., Fresh Start Organic, Azatre and Tumandok, all from Bacolod; Maturan Pili Candies from Allen, Northern Samar, AL DI Foods from Iloilo, while many other companies and producers are in the process of formalizing tie-ups with Vijaya. (PR)
