AN ESCAPEE was killed in a gun attack in the province of Zamboanga del Sur, the police reported.
Police Captain Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, said the incident occurred around 11 a.m. Friday, October 23, 2020, in Poblacion village, Midsalip, Zamboanga Del Sur.
Duco identified the victim as Nestor Dumandos, 38, who has a standing warrant of arrest and an escapee of Ramon Magsaysay District Jail.
He said Dumandos was in Poblacion village and was shot to death by an unidentified suspect with a homemade shotgun.
Duco said the investigation continues to establish the motive and to identify the suspect behind the incident. (SunStar Zamboanga)
