It remains to be seen whether the PBA Philippine Cup game between TNT and NorthPort will push through on Monday night, pending the result of the RT-PCR test done on the Blackwater player who was suspected of having Covid-19.

The Tropang Giga played Blackwater last Thursday and blew out the Elite, 109-96. On Saturday night, one of the Elite players tested positive for the dreaded disease after a swab test was done on him.

The said player has since been isolated at the Athletes’ Village in New Clark City while the rest of his teammates were mandated to go through another round of swab tests. Blackwater has also been ordered to remain isolated.

This stunning development led to Blackwater’s match versus Rain or Shine getting postponed. The game between TNT and the Batang Pier could also suffer the same fate if the result of the test conducted on the Blackwater player is not available before their tip-off at 4 p.m.

The TNT squad has also been isolated and were all tested given antigen and RT-PCR tests on Sunday. So far, everyone on the TNT team has tested negative on the antigen tests. (JNP)
