THE intensified war against drugs, gambling and loose firearms of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Cordillera has led to the arrest of six individuals on October 25.
Listed as high-value individual (HVI), Junie Magmoyao Gumpad, 33, a resident of Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga, was apprehended on General Luna St., Casigayan, Tabuk City for possession of illegal drugs.
Pieces of evidence recovered and confiscated from Gumpad were one plastic sachet containing shabu, P21,000 cash, a cellular phone and two commuter vans.
Also arrested was Clever Vince Sumedca Alisto, 21, construction worker and a resident of Dagupan West, Tabuk City, Kalinga, who has a standing warrant for the crime of robbery.
In another operation, four gamblers were caught in the act of playing card games in Poblacion East, Lagawe, Ifugao early morning of October 25.
Arrested were Venancio Silverio Cumilang, Gil Mark Dela Cruz Pugong, Noriel Timacdog Dulnuan and Dennis Tayaban Baccay.
Confiscated from the suspected gamblers were 49 pieces of playing cards, P2,230 bet money and other gambling paraphernalia.
PRO-Cordillera assured its continuous campaign against illegal drugs, illegal gambling, illegal firearms, and other forms of criminality leading to the arrest of the suspects in the region.
