P102,000 shabu seized in Bacolod

AN ESTIMATED P102,000 worth of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in a joint drug bust operation by operatives of City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) and Police Station 7 in Purok Kabugwason, Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City Wednesday evening, October 28, 2020.

The operation also led to the arrest of Jose Guzman Jr., 50, Guila Golez, 26, and Ronald Pelowa, 25, all residents of Barangay Mansilingan.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), said the suspects were arrested after they sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover around 10 p.m.

Police recovered from the suspects’ possession nine sachets of shabu weighing 15 grams, the P1,000 marked money and a weighing scale.

Pico said the suspects were under surveillance for almost a month before their arrest.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 7 and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act 2002.
