96 new policemen take oath

POLICE Brigadier General Jesus Cambay, Jr. has welcomed and lauded the new batch of policemen for passing the requirements to join the police service.

Cambay administered Friday, October 30, the oathtaking of the 96 police recruits as new members of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

The new batch of policemen composed of 83 males and 13 females who passed the neuro-psychiatric test, physical agility test, random drug tests and complete background investigation, physical, medical and dental examination.

After the oathtaking, they were turned over to the Regional Training Center-Zamboanga Peninsula to undergo a six-month Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC).

After the PSBRC, they will undergo another six months of Field Training Exercises and 45 days of PNP Basic Internal Security Operation Course.

Cambay said as patrolmen and patrolwomen, they will receive a basic monthly salary of P29,668 aside from allowances and other benefits.

Cambay said they belong to the first and second cycle of attrition quota for 2020. (SunStar Zamboanga)
