Cagayan de Oro logs 31 additional Covid-19 cases

THE City Health Office reported on Saturday, October 31, 31 additional cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Cagayan de Oro, bringing the total number of infections to 1,649.

According to Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery, 14 of the 31 new local cases are close contacts of previously confirmed cases and three are local authorized persons outside residence (Apors).

Of the 1,649 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 357 are under the returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 1,292 cases are local transmissions.

Cagayan de Oro has recorded 573 active cases, 27 of whom are admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC), 532 are outpatients and 14 are ROFs/LSIs.

The city also registered 14 coronavirus-positive persons who are now tagged as "recovered" after their repeat swab test result came out negative on Friday, October 30. This brought the total number of recoveries to 1,005.

Of the figure, 248 are LSIs, 94 are ROFs and 663 are local cases (community: 494; Apor: 169).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 71.
