2 HVTs nabbed in anti-drug operations

TWO high-value target (HVT) drug personalities were arrested in separate anti-drug operations in the region, the police reported.

Police Captain Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-Zambonaga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested HVT drug personalities as Jack Musa Ahari, 38 and Joey Tayong Villar, 34.

Duco said Ahari was found in possession of some P15,000 worth of suspected shabu and P200 marked money when arrested in a buy-bust operation around 3:30 p.m. Friday, October 30, in Purok 1, Sangali village, this city.

He said Ahari is also the Top 4 most wanted person in the area of the Zamboanga City Police Office’s Station 5 and has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of carnapping with no recommended bail issued by a local court.

Duco said Villar was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 5:16 p.m. Friday, October 30, in De Venta Perla village, Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte.

He said recovered from the possession of Villar were some P5,500 worth of suspected shabu and P1,000 marked money.

Duco said the suspects were detained while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are set to be filed against them. (SunStar Zamboanga)
