THIRD District Representative Aurelio Gonzales lauded the Delta team and Governor Dennis Pineda for the former's win in the National Basketball League (NBL) Season 3 crown, saying the victory is a welcome development amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The NBL crown is the latest of the Delta Team's accomplishments. The team defeated La Union 76-68 with a 3-1 score in the best-of-five finals game.
It could be remembered that the Delta Team lost to the Taguig Generals in the Season 2 of the basketball tournament.
"I am proud of the accomplishments of the Delta Team. This will surely inspire younger people to pursue their sports dreams," Gonzales said.
The Delta Team is credited for producing PBA stars like Ato Agustin and Arwind Santos.
