PERSONNEL of Electric Cooperatives Association of Region VI (Ecar VI) Task Force Duterte Power Restoration Rapid Deployment (TFD-PRRD) have been deployed to help their Mindoro sisters electric cooperative, Occidental Mindoro Electric Cooperative (Omeco), and Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative (Ormeco) that were severely devastated by Typhoons Quinta and Rolly.

A total of 66 "Warriors of Light" or linemen coming from different electric cooperatives in Western Visayas are ready to assist restoration of power. The electric cooperatives include the Aklan Electric Cooperative (Akelco), Antique Electric Cooperative (Anteco), Capiz Electric Cooperative (Capelco), Guimaras Electric Cooperative (Guimelco), Iloilo I Electric Cooperative (Ileco I), Iloilo II Electric Cooperative (Ileco II), Iloilo III Electric Cooperative Cooperative (Ileco III), Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco), Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative (Noceco), and Northern Negros Electric Cooperative (Nonecoare).

TFD-PRRD is a volunteer service whereby electric cooperatives (ECs) in the country work together to mobilize their line workers and logistics to help sisters electric coops greatly affected by natural calamities for the immediate restoration of electricity to the member-consumer-owners.

This is an initiative of the ONE-EC Network Foundation in cooperation with the National Electrification Administration, Electric Cooperatives Association of Region VI (Ecar VI) and Power Bloc Partylists Apec, Philreca, Recoboda and Ako Padayon Pilipino.

PRRD Task Force in other regions will also be deployed to other affected fellow electric coops. The ONE-EC MCO Movement will once again prove the significance of unity as one family with one goal. (PR)
