THE Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of the police has arrested a high-value individual (HVI) in an anti-drug operation in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, an official said Wednesday, November 11, 2020.
Police Captain Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested HVI as Bernie Olimpyo Salavedra alias Sadam, 33, a resident of Dlusum village, Leon Postigo, Zamboanga del Norte.
Duco said Salavedra was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 11:55 p.m. Tuesday at North Curvada in Galas village, Dipolog City, the capital of Zamboanga del Norte province.
Duco said confiscated from the possession of the HVI-suspect were some P60,000 worth of suspected shabu packed in seven heat-sealed plastic sachets and P500 marked money.
He said the suspect was detained at the Dipolog City police headquarters while formal charges are set to be filed against him. (SunStar Zamboanga)
