Radio commentator nabbed for libel, posts P10,000 bail

A KNOWN radio commentator was able to post bail at the Davao del Sur Provincial Prosecutor's Office for the case he is facing a few hours after he was arrested by members of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) on Friday, November 13, 2020.

Junior “Jundigz” Ortiz Digamon was arrested around 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Digamon is facing a cyber libel case according to his warrant of arrest released by the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 18 signed by Presiding Judge Marivic Trabajo-Daray on October 23.

The “Oplan Pagtugis” against Digamon was conducted at the Brigada News Davao station on McArthur Highway, Ulas in Barangay Talomo Proper, Davao City.

Members of the CIDG-Davao del Sur and other police authorities led by Major Edgardo Bahan served the warrant for Digamon’s arrest.

The court had set bail of P10,000 for Digamon’s temporary release.

According to police, Digamon was detained at the police station for documentation, after which, he posted bail.

As of Friday, it was not determined who filed a case against Digamon, who is known to be a veteran commentator on the radio and social media in Davao City.
