HAVE you been missing the taste of juicy, mouth-watering wagyu from Japan?

With travel restrictions brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic, going to the Land of the Rising Sun for that authentic wagyu experience is off the list for now.

But, in Angeles City, there's a new go-to place just for that.

If you revel in good meat, you'll be surprised with what Songdowon Korean Restaurant can offer.

Imported from Japan and the United States of America, Songdowon serves the highest-quality, authentic tasting wagyu.

"We take pride in our wagyu beef imported straight from Japan and the US," Luchie Lozano, co-owner of Songdowon Korean Restaurant, shared.

Songdowon serves locally-produced high-quality pork meat, too, for their samgyupsal sets.

"As a food lover myself, I wanted my fellow Kapampangans to taste these high-quality tasting meat that's worth the price," Lozano added.

Songdowon Angeles opened in July 2020 amidst the height of the pandemic. It was a franchise of the popular Songdowon restaurant in Manila.

"We took risk and we were surprised with how much people loved our food and service," Lozano shared.

Their high number of food orders for delivery was proof of their dishes' quality.

When dine-in was allowed by the IATF, Lozano said they were fully-booked almost every day even during Mondays, which is a usual slow day for food businesses.

Aside from their good tasting meat, Songdowon also serves various banchan, or side dishes.

Lozano shared that their banchan is changed twice a day, one set during lunch, and a new set for dinner.

Lozano's co-owner is Ha Jinho, a Korean businessman based in Pampanga.

Ha, along with a Korean chef that regularly visits the restaurant, guarantees that their food is authentic and tastes just how food in Korea is.

Aside from their food quality, Lozano is also proud of their restaurant's customer service.

"We make sure that our customers are satisfied not just with their food, but with our services, as well," she said.

To dine-in, customers are encouraged to book reservations through their Facebook page or by texting or calling 09483282639. Customers are required to wear face masks and face shields, and observe social distancing while inside the restaurant.
