THE new building along Palma Gil Street, Davao City that will house the Davao City Investment Promotions Center (DCIPC) and the City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO) was turned over Monday, November 16, 2020.

A simple ceremony led by Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio was done Monday to bless the newly finished building, where personnel of DCIPC and CTOO are expected to transfer and do transactions there.

The five-story building started construction after the groundbreaking in 2017. It was previously reported that the total cost for the building was P50 million.

Aside from DCIPC and CTOO, the other floors will house conference rooms, a training hall and a receiving area for the mayor.

DCIPC and CTOO used to be located at Magsaysay Park and Pasalubong Center, respectively.

The Cacao City, where different cacao products from all over Davao City are displayed, first transferred to the building on the first floor on October 5, 2020.

“Both CTOO and DCIPC are committed to working hand-in-hand with the private sector and other agencies to ensure that we recover our gains in the tourism and development sectors and soar higher than before,” said CTOO Generose Tecson in a Facebook post.
