P3.22M worth of drugs seized in San Simon town

SOME P3.22 million worth of suspected illegal drugs were confiscated by the Pampanga Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) during a buy-bust operation launched in Barangay Sta. Monica, San Simon town, Pampanga recently.

PDEU Chief Major Louie Gonzaga said the illegal drugs were seized from two suspects identified as Kadim Dimatingkal, 23, considered a high-value target, and Abdulhamid Khalid, 25.

Gonzaga said the suspects were initially arrested after they sold a sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride to undercover police.

During the body search, police discovered five more medium sachets of shabu from the suspects' possession.

Approximately 474 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P3,223,200, as well as other personal belongings were recovered from the suspects.

Charges for violation of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 are set to be filed against the suspects.
