Man shot farmer couple in Leyte

A SUSPECT shot a farmer couple in Tabango, Leyte Tuesday, November 17, 2020.

The victims were identified as Boyet Dacullo, 50, and his wife, Josefina Dacullo, 55, residents of Sitio Mahayahay 1, Barangay Tabing, Tabango.

In an initial investigation, police said the victims were inside their nipa hut when the suspect, identified as alias “Eduardo Mendoza,” barged in and shot the couple for no apparent reasons.

The two were rushed to the hospital after they were hit in the different parts of the bodies.

The suspect immediately fled after the incident, but he was positively identified by the son of the victims, police said in the report.

Authorities have yet to say if they have identified a motive for the shooting.

A hot pursuit operation was also conducted for the arrest of the suspect. (SunStar Philippines)
