AROUND 1,200 qualified students from the towns of Borbon, Sogod, Catmon and Carmen in Cebu Province received scholarship grants from Team Frasco scholarship on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.
In a post on his official Facebook page, Fifth District of Cebu Representative Duke Frasco said each of the scholars received grants ranging from P3,000 to P5,000 per semester.
This totaled to over P4.1 million in funds for the scholars in four towns.
Distribution of grants for scholars coming from other local government units (LGUs) is scheduled in the coming weeks.
"The Scholarship Program has so far benefitted 2,500 students across LGUs of the 5th District of Cebu in the first year alone," read a portion of Frasco's post.
The number of scholars is expected to increase this year, Frasco added. (WBS)
