Clark Marriott Hotel's virtual 'Run to Give'

AS PART of its Take Care Programs, Marriott International in the Pacific is conducting a virtual fun run.

Its campaign "Run To Give" aims to generate P1 million for children in need in the Philippines.

This year, all Marriott properties in the Philippines – Clark Marriott, Manila Marriott, Sheraton Manila, Sheraton Manila Bay, Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo, and Sheraton Cebu Mactan join forces to raise funds for the Marriott Associate Welfare Fund and its partner beneficiary, the Save the Children Philippines.

Anyone interested may sign up to complete a total mileage and select among 50-kilometer (km), 100-km, 200-km or 300-km.

Register and help reach the 40,040-km goal in 40 days. Participants must record their progress with their preferred running app between November 9 to December 18. Runners may register and record their daily progress through www.takbo.ph.

Registration starts at P500. An e-certificate of completion will be received at the end of each challenge. A souvenir shirt may also be availed with an add-on cost.

Those who are willing to donate but do not have the time to run may choose to either donate directly to MWBC Philippines’ chosen beneficiaries or sponsor a participant and take an exclusive part in its charity initiative. For more information, visit the official websites or social media pages of the Marriott properties in the Philippines on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

This "kilig" moment can surely brighten up your day...

Nurse Neil Salvacion on his Instagram account said to girlfriend Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo on her 24th birthday: "I still get so emotional and felt so surreal seeing you achieving all the dreams and harvesting all the blessings you deserve for all the hard work you've done since you were young.”

Rabiya celebrated her birthday on November 24, in time for her homecoming in Iloilo City. Neil, who is a nurse at St. Luke's Medical Center, said until now, he is still emotional with what her girlfriend Rabiya was able to achieve.

“Being proud is an understatement to what I feel towards your success. You've sacrificed so much in life but managed to remain optimistic in whatever situation you've faced... I've learned so much in life through you and I know you'll use the influence you have to spread kindness and optimism to whoever you'll meet along the way. Stay Phenomenal my love!!! I LOVE YOU,” he said.

It's been six years now when Neil and Rabiya got officially on.

In a separate post, Rabiya posted: “We’ve been dating for six years. He’s my first boyfriend... we’ve been together since college. I can make a man stay! He made me promise not to leave him even if I win the Miss Universe Philippines crown. I have a video stating that! He made me do that.”
