AN ESTIMATED P37,200 worth of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as “shabu,” was seized in separate drug busts conducted by Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) in Bacolod City Saturday.
The operation also led to the arrest of Cedric Villacampa, 26, of Purok 4, Barangay Singcang-Airport; Roger Ledona, 53, of Purok Pablo Torre, Barangay Vista Alegre; and Benjamine Agravante, 51, of Purok Ylac, Barangay 1, all in Bacolod City.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of BCPO, said Villacampa was arrested by operatives of Police Station 8 at Purok 4, Barangay Singcang-Airport after he sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover around 11:10 p.m.
Police recovered from Villacampa’s possession four sachets of shabu weighing 1.5 grams with estimated market value P10,000, the P500 marked money and a .38 caliber revolver loaded with six live ammunition of .38 caliber.
Ledona was also arrested by operatives of Police Station 7 at Purok Pablo Torre, Barangay Vista Alegre around 11 p.m.
Police recovered from Ledona’s possession five sachets of shabu weighing two grams with estimated market value P13, 600 and the P500 marked money.
Agravante was arrested by operatives of Police Station 2 at Purok Bolinao Barangay 2 around 8:45 p.m.
Recovered from Agravante’s possession were six sachets of shabu weighing two grams with estimated market value P13, 600, the P500 marked money and drug paraphernalia.
Pico said the suspects were identified as street level individuals in Bacolod City. They were under surveillance for almost a month before their arrest.
The suspects were detained at the custodial facility of Police Stations 2, 7 and 8 for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
