THE conservation of the environment has become more crucial to the owners of Melba's Farm situated at Sitio Masanglad, Barangay Cabatangan, Talisay City pondering on the state of climate change that caused devastation to the habitat citing the episodes and various forms of natural calamities experienced recently.

Alvin M. Carranza, son of couple Fidel and Melba Carranza continues to advocate for stronger environmental conservation and protection as his way of taking care of Mother Earth.

Melba's Farm spans within the 13-hectare property of the Carranza family.

Before the Covid-19 pandemic, students and environment advocates engaged in tree planting activities at the site where the Boy and Girl Scouts used to camp out to plant.

The area is currently surrounded by Lauan trees and other species, an assortment of flowers and plants, and greenery.

One can see the vast aerial view of Bacolod City and Talisay when on top of the highland with more or less 600 meters in elevation above sea level.

Caretaker couple Manuel and Roselyn Padilla maintain the place as some people, especially riders and people who love the environment visit the place.

The place used to be the spot where the candidates of Miss Earth years back visited nd did their tree planting and photoshoot.

The place maintains a cool and cozy ambiance where one can rejuvenate and energize from the positive energies discharged by the trees which are good when absorbed by the human body.
